关于举办“改革开放40年与中国社会转型国际学术研讨会”的预通知 International Conference on the 40 Year's Reform and Social Transition in China

   为纪念中国改革开放四十周年（1978—2018），探讨经济体制改革对制度变迁和社会转型的影响，总结中国社会转型的经验和启示，进一步加强海内外社会学领域的学术交流，复旦大学社会学系拟于2018年10月12-15日举办“改革开放40年与中国社会转型国际学术研讨会”，诚邀您拨冗参加。现将有关事宜预通知如下：

   To commemorate the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up (1978-2018), explore the impacts of economic reform on institutional transition, and further strengthen the international academic exchanges, the Department of Sociology at Fudan University is tentatively scheduled to hold the "International Conference on the 40 Years' Reform and Social Transition in China"on October 12-15, 2018. We cordially invite you to take the time to participate. The relevant information is hereby pre-announced as follows:

1. 时间/ Time：2018年10月12日报到，13-14日大会及分组研讨。

Registration on October 12th, 2018; conference and group discussion on the13th and 14th, 2018.

2. 地点/Venue：复旦大学（上海市邯郸路220号). 

Fudan University (No. 220 Handan Road, Shanghai, China).

3. 主题/Theme：会议以“改革开放40年与中国社会转型”为主题。聚焦中国经验，推 动理论创新。会议欢迎有学理、方法适当的研究论文，有学理基础的政策研究，鼓励把本土经验转变为普遍性概念和理论的研究，欢迎有全球视野的比较研究。

The conference welcomes research papers with solid theories and methods, as well as papers with policy implications based on rigorous investigation. We encourage efforts to bridge local experiences with global concepts and theories, and welcome comparative studies with international perspectives.

4. 对象/Targeted Participants:会议面向海内外社会学同仁，强调以文会友，欢迎教学科研人员和在校研究生参加会议。

The conference targets sociology colleagues and graduates from both domestic and abroad.

5. 议题/Topics: 会议议题包括但不限于以下领域：

The topics of the conference include but are not limited to the following areas:

1）40年来中国的经济体制改革、制度变迁与社会结构转型; 

China's economic reform, institutional change, and social transition in the past 40 years;

2）社会分层与流动；Stratification and mobility;

3）文化与社区； Culture and community;

4）社会组织与社会治理；NGO and social governance;

5）互联网、新媒体与社会心态； Internet, new media and social mentality;

6）移民、家庭与社会资本；Family, immigration, and social capital;

7）社会学理论与方法的新进展。New progress in sociological theory and methods.

6. 费用/Fees：与会代表免交会务费，往返交通费自理，会议主办方承担落地费用。

All participants are exempt from registration fee, but should pay the transportation fee by themselves. The organizer of the conference bears the accommodation costs.

7. 论文提交/ Paper Submission：拟参会代表，请于2018年9月25日前，将会议论文或摘要发至会议专用邮箱邮箱：soc2018@163.com。会议主办方将根据论文提交情况，陆续以邮件形式向参会学者发出正式邀请。

For submission, please send the conference paper or abstract to the following email: soc2018@163.com before September 25,2018. The organizer of the conference will send an official invitation letter to the participating scholars by email upon our selections based on the quality of all submitted papers.
